Hi everybody.  Well, the world has changed pretty radically since my last Update.  I believe we have been given an incredible opportunity for healing and Spiritual Awakening.  I have been writing about the impact, implications, and meaning of current events for the last month - which I will tell you about in a moment.  I am going to keep this pretty short and sweet, so I can get back to my writing.  And because it is going to be short, I am going to be sending it to you all instead of just notification that it has been posted.

In the time before the terrorist attack, I had made a few additions to Joy2MeU, including:  A new online payment system called PayPal;  an article Union Within - 5 years later, which I moved from Suite101 because it is a follow up to the article on my site about my 7 year old inner child who just wanted to die;  2 new awards;  a new phone counseling testimonial;  and some more countries added to list that have visited Joy2MeU - 92 now.  Since September 11th, except for the afternoons and evenings which are set aside for phone counseling, I have been consumed with my writing, so the only things I have added besides the result of this writing frenzy, are some of the wonderful new testimonials that have come in.  To find out about any of these, go to the New Page.

I did have my workshop in Santa Barbara, which turned out to be quite an adventure because my trusty old car sprang an oil leak about the time it turned over 220,000 miles - and it ended up taking 16 quarts of oil to make it the 135 miles to Santa Barbara. (It was a pretty big leak ;-)  I did that because the mechanic that I trust is down there, and does repairs for me for about half what it would cost to get them done in this small, isolated town I live in.  The Universe timed things perfectly so that I could make the trip down to get the car fixed at the same time I had the workshop scheduled. 

If you remember I mentioned in the last Update, that the workshop was part of a strategy to get me to focus on organizing my next book.

"My approach to the inner child healing work has, of course, evolved over the years also.  It seems that it is just now reaching the point where I am going to be able to put it into book form and get it published.  That book - the process level book about how to do this healing work - is the one I have been calling Wounded Souls Dancing in The Light, and that I started publishing in draft form in the Joy2MeU Journal. . . . . . I have set up a workshop in Santa Barbara for the 30th of September, as a way of giving myself a deadline to work against.  Like the talk I first gave in June of 1991, setting the date for that talk forced me to write the book in those two frenzied days prior to it.  Hopefully I will be able to get into one of my writing frenzies now - and get the next book together enough to send to some publishers, while also preparing a new workshop." - Joy to You & Me and Joy2MeU Update - August -2001

The one I have been writing - and writing and writing - is called Attack on America - A Spiritual Healing Perspective & Call for Higher Consciousness.  I have as of today, posted 6 Chapters of this book - probably over 50,000 words - and it appears that there are still 3 more Chapters to finish.  Although I am not making any promises about the length - I thought this was going to be a two part article when I started writing on September 14th.

To give you an idea of how important this work feels to me, here are a couple of quotes from the end of the last chapter I wrote:

"As I finish up this Chapter 6 (on October 16th) it feels like maybe I wrote these words over 2 years ago specifically so that I can quote them in this online book.  This opus, which I started out thinking may be a two part web article, now feels like a definitive exposition of my work. The terrorist attack on September 11th, was a blatant and straightforward manifestation of the dynamics of codependence that I explained in Codependence: The Dance of Wounded Souls.  The subtitle of that book is A Cosmic Perspective of Codependence and the Human Condition.  That book is a work of mystical Spirituality.  I believe it is a Divinely inspired message to remind all wounded souls of the Truth of Love and ONENESS. . . . . . It feels to me, like this online book that is now pouring out of me, Attack on America - A Spiritual Healing Perspective & Call for Higher Consciousness is an extension and expansion of that message - a more explicit and detailed version.  I am publishing it on the internet in an attempt to impact the Collective Consciousness in a way that will help human beings make some progress in shifting out of the repeating patterns of polarized conflict that have so plagued this planet into a paradigm more aligned with Love and recognition of our ONENESS.

We can change the world through changing our relationship with ourselves.  So I am putting this out there in the hope that it will help you to remember the Truth of who you are, and why you are here on this planet, at this very special time of accelerated healing and Spiritual Awakening.  Remembering that will transform your life into an easier, more enJoyable, and Loving experience."
